KiwiRail workers were out again this weekend tweaking those cabinets that have started appearing around the network.

But today the workers were spotted hiding the cabinet under a big blue tent while they unlocked it and peered into it.

So what is inside those “secret” locked cabinets?

We had to sneak in and have a look!

A reader, Signalhead, has commented that the new cabinets contain generally the new Westrace solid state interlocking processor, fiber optic failsafe network equipment, points controllers, signal modules, axle counter evaluation boards, power supplies etc.
