Busy Events Weekend - PT Deals

 

A busy weekend for public transport this weekend with several popular events happening.

There will be extra trains to Eden Park for Sunday’s open day. The timetable is here

Due to planned engineering work on the Eastern Line at Sylvia Park, an amended timetable (including rail replacement buses) is in place for all Southern and Eastern Line train service.

The All Whites will take on Honduras at North Harbour Stadium on Saturday have their first home game since their resolute World Cup campaign and fans of both sides can get a free ride to the game on public transport.

By showing a pre-purchased match ticket on specified public transport services, All Whites and Honduras supporters can enjoy free travel to and from the North Harbour stadium.

The game kicks off at 7:30pm and free travel is available on special bus services which will run direct to North Harbour Stadium from Orewa, Takapuna/Northshore via Northern Busway Stations (Akoranga - Constellation), CBD, (Midtown/Downtown pick up) and Manukau, Botany, Pakuranga, Henderson via Westgate.

Free travel is also available on all train lines on Saturday three hours from kick off until the end of service.

Again due to scheduled works rail bus replacements will be in place on the Eastern Line between Britomart and Otahuhu via Glen Innes and Sylvia Park.

And there’s a family day at the Ambury Farm Day this Sunday.

The free annual event starts at 10am. There’s a free shuttle bus travelling from Otahuhu Station (Titi Street) via Mangere Bridge Township, departing every 30 minutes between 9:45am and 3:15pm. The last bus will depart Ambury Farm at 4pm.

Passengers could also pay for the Southern line train to Otahuhu Station.

    Went to the Navy open day yesterday and they reckon they got 20,000 people through the ships.
