715pm Major delays on the southern motorway.
As a result of a crash involving a motorcyclist on the Southern motorway in the southbound lanes of the Newmarket viaduct, two lanes on the viaduct are presently blocked and only one lane is open. Traffic is also being diverted off at Gillies Ave and back on the motorway at St Marks Rd.
Traffic in the area is heavy and motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes wherever possible.
