Wellington bus drivers’ wage talks are hopefully coming towards a successful end.
The drivers stop for about five hours tomorrow to consider a collective agreement offer.
Go Wellington and Valley Flyer bus services will be disrupted between 11am to 2.30pm to allow members of the Wellington Tramways and Manufacturing and Construction Workers Unions to consider the company’s offer of a new collective employment agreement which will be presented to them.
The union negotiating team is recommending they accept.
The stoppage means:
• No Go Wellington services will operate between 11 am and 2.30pm
• No Valley Flyer services will operate between 11 am and 2.30pm
• The Airport Flyer will operate every 30 minutes during this time
Full bus services will be available until 10.30 am and resume at 3 pm
