Nokia launches phone charger |Nokia

Nokia has come up today with a great tool for cyclists. The Nokia Bicycle Charger Kit.
Like a bicycle dynamo product that charge the lights, this one charges your phone as you ride.

The product is initially aimed at emerging markets - places where electricity may be scarce, unreliable or expensive.
Nokia says that in western countries ” it’s more of an environmental sell, enabling eco-conscious urbanites to feel virtuous about their phone usage.”

The bike kit has a charger, dynamo and a holder to secure the phone to the bicycle. The dynamo - a small electrical generator - uses the movement of the wheels to charge the handset through a standard 2mm charging jack used in most Nokia handsets.
It cuts off at speeds lower than 5 kph and higher than 50kph.
The intended price at this stage is about $26 but no word on when we can get our hands on it.
I wish it would work with my iPhone! I am not a fan these days of Nokia.
