No ETA On ETA signs
Real time information of train arrivals is on its way - but still no exact date.
ARTA will say only that “once the real time data feed is available from the ONTRACK train tracking system service ETAs will be displayed.”
Passenger signs, as are presently displayed at Grafton, Newmarket and Britomart stations will be appearing throughout Auckland’s rail network at 20 other Auckland stations by- you’ve guessed it: those magic words. The Rugby World Cup. They display service schedule information for next service arrivals and free text messaging for service disruptions and/or changes.
Wiring and support fixtures will be on the stations by July but not be connected for up to a year and the tender for the installation has yet to be advertised.
Those passenger information displays (PIDs) are also being installed at the new New Lynn rail station and a design brief in place for Manukau’s station, opening next year.
