Another Red Light Incident

 

Another incident of a train driver running a red light in Wellington this morning.

Accoring to Tranz Metro:

Due to an operational incident in the Wgtn rail yard, some svcs may be delayed by up to 15 minutes arriving into Wgtn

Translated, according to Wellington’s Dom-Post:

A train driver who ran a red light caused delays of up to 15 minutes for Wellington rail commuters today. A KiwiRail spokesman said the incident occurred in the bottleneck where the Upper Hutt and Paraparaumu lines meet.
The front of the train, which was coming from Plimmerton and was due at the Wellington Railway Station at 7.39am, had overrun the red light, though it was not yet clear why.
