Tonight, two massive cranes will work in unison to lift 245 tonnes of land span into position at the northern end of the new Mangere bridge.

As detailed earlier, the project involves duplicating the Mangere Bridge to provide four traffic lanes in each direction across the Manukau Harbour and widening SH20 either side of the bridge to three traffic lanes and a bus shoulder lane in each direction.
