New solar powered bus signs are being introduced by Auckland Transport.
They are specially designed for lower patronage stops.
Some have appeared on Dominion Road between Valley Road and Balmoral village.

Solar signs are also being introduced in Wellington.
Let’s hope they work better than some of the present ones but they probably also feed off the same information which allows buses to be close then go into the DLY and VANISH OFF THE SCREEN NEVER TO BVE SEEN AGAIN cycle!

They seem to be all along the outer link route.
Christchurch should have some as well, as they are pretty sunny….
