While hunting out some old info, I can across this old graph of Western Line patronage.
How far rail has grown in Auckland in just a few years.

    If only 342 people got on at Auckland station in 1997, you can really see how dire the situation was, and how close we came to losing the whole network.

    And those are 09 figures. The 11 figures would show an even greater percentage increase.
