Fewer Bridge Strikes

Fewer trucks are striking Auckland motorway bridges.

NZTA reports a significant reduction in the number of strikes to bridges and other structures and signs on Auckland’s motorway network.

This comes after its campaign to educate people about driving with insecure loads.

Since the campaign began last December,  there have been only four minor bridge strikes requiring inspection and repair. Historically, on average, there would be around 18 strikes in this period.
