NASA Captures Oil Slick

 

Here is how NASA’s satellite sees the Gulf Of Mexico oil slick at the moment and captures it lying just off the Louisiana coast.

There are fears the leak, which can’t be stopped so far, will spiral out of control.

US government officials have been criticised for being slow to act, only on Friday declaring that the incident was “a spill of national significance.”

    What’s with the term “national significance”? Is it associated with the oil industry? Road of national significance, oil slicks of national significance…

    Interesting you using Al-Jazeera videos in a couple posts. I assume they license them under a CC license…

    @Max CNN lead the way by realising if they let others have access to their video they end up getting more traffic. Al Jazeera has followed but the BBC still keeps its stuff to itself.
