Bombay Road Works Looming (Update)

Up to 40 minute delays are expected on busy SH1 between Bombay and Pokeno, from Sunday night while major resurfacing work takes place on both the north and southbound lanes next week.

The work will be done between 8pm and 6am to mininise the delays.

Detour routes will be in place via Tuakau, in Franklin. Northbound traffic will be diverted from SH1 at Pokeno, and southbound travellers diverted from Bombay.

The southbound lanes of SH1 between the Bombay off ramp and State Highway 2 on ramp are scheduled to be closed on Sunday and Monday. This includes the closure of the Bombay southbound on ramp, Beaver Road on and off ramps, Nikau Road on and off ramps and Razorback Road southbound off ramp.

The northbound lanes between the Pokeno off ramp and Razorback Road on ramp on Wednesday. This includes the closure of Pokeno northbound on ramp and the SH1 - 2 off ramp.
