The Victoria Park tunnel project is now looking serious with trucks, cranes and interesting pieces of equipment lurking behind the wooden walls shielding the construction from the park goers. It’s taking more of the park, the church over the road and the Bird Cage is getting prepared for its move.
It’s fascinating to watch all the activity in the shadow of one of the most busiest stretches of Auckland motorway.

What a shame the whole motorway at Victoria park wasnt going underground. The area would look so much better without the viaduct and the cricketers wouldnt have the fear of hitting a 6 up onto it.
