More Traffic WebCams Online

More webcams on the Auckland southern motorway are going online, thanks to the NZTA.

The six new cameras are positioned at the following locations:

• Takanini,
• Walter Strevens Drive
• Pahurehure,
• Rushgreen Avenue
• Park Estate
• Slippery Creek.

The cameras all have south facing views.  Their images, which are refreshed every 60 seconds, can be viewed on the NZTA’s Auckland traffic website.

The six additional cameras bring to 23 the number operating on the Southern Motorway.

Webcams also operate in Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch, and the NZTA plans to expand it service for travellers in the South Island and the central North Island.
