Just when things couldn’t get any worse for Wellington KiwiRail commuters, the Dominion Post reports today that passengers are now having to put up with smoke and stench from overheating brakes.
Twice in the past week, passengers have been forced to get out of smoke-filled units.
“The fumes were overwhelming,” a commuter said. “We were asked to vacate that carriage and find seats elsewhere.”
- And then tonight trolley buses had a power outage.
