Welcome Te Papapa, Penrose 3
Welcome Te Papapa and Penrose 3 train stations to the rail network.
Te Papapa can be accessed from Mays Rd, or Captain Springs Rd or Malvern Rd.
Penrose 3 is adjacent to Penrose Rd near Mt Smart. Those transferring to and from the south line have a few minutes walk over the footbridge from the old railway station.
This is an idea of the distance and shots of the new platform.

@Patrick Its a bit rough but is there see http://www.aktnz.co.nz/2010/09/18/first-train-into-onehunga/
Not double-tracked… yet
I’m a little disappointed that Penrose wound up with two stations. It would have been nice to see one upgraded station serving both lines.
Ian - I agree, I thought it would have been good to have moved it north to the Gt South Rd overbridge and have just one station for both lines
