New Lynn: Seating Room Only

New Lynn’s transport hub should be able to be opened in a week although it won’t be officially opened until the 24th.

They’ll be plenty of seating - and real time bus information, including on a big screen.
Note: Because of the so-called ban on taking photos of the construction, these are of course photo manipulated images imagining what it could be like today.

This is what it could look like inside

Maybe the construction inside going on today might look like this if we could see it

Seats like these will probably be erected outside

I'm hoping the new bus depot stops will be nice like this but we'll have to wait to find out

I imagine the seats would get placed at this sort of distance from each other

If might be a good idea if an electronic sign like this gets erected about here but who knows

If you could get close, I guess workers like this would be doing stuff like this

This entrance is still under construction so I don't know if it looks like this

A photoshopped van in front of an illustration of the sort of building design

There was a whisper ferns sort of like this one might be placed at the Clark St entrance but it's top secret

I wonder if inside the closed area looking out might look like this but probably not

I bet there are lots of workers inside the banned construction area, wish I could even just peek

Isn’t Photoshop a wonderful tool?

Imagine if you could get pix like that of New Lynn!!! Great imagination and photoshopping skills Jon C.

  2. Commuter says:

Obviously photoshopped; but you have planted a Nikau (Rhopalostylis sapida) not a fern (Dicksonia spp) in front of your hypothecised New Lynn train station entrance.

  3. Jon C says:

@Commuter Thanks for that. The images in the Photoshop library were not that descriptive.

The seats you have used from your photoshop library look quie nice, hopefully they look like that in real life

    Mad shopping skillz!
    Seriously, looks good tho!

Cheers for taking the risk to get these photos out there!

This is the lulziest post I’ve ever read on this blog, and I hope someone from ARTA is also reading. XD

  7. Jon C says:

    @Doloras I’m afraid they have!

Uh-oh. Does that mean you won’t be allowed to hypothesize about the Onehunga Opening either?

  9. Jon C says:

@Karl Arta, ARC, Kiwirail and NZTA have always all been very kind to me about letting me get close to the action. This incident involved a member of the public snapping a photo from the street. ARC chair Mike Lee emailled me today to say there is no such policy and he has called for an investigation into the over zealous security.

“If you could get close, I guess workers like this would be doing stuff like this” - Definitely my favourite. Thanks for this post, it’s really good to see what might be happening in New Lynn.

Definitely photoshopped. How can I tell? The realtime displays in your pics are switched off. In real life I was there last night, and the clocks in the top right corners are on and working.
