Morningsiding Finished

The creation of a siding at Morningside station so trains can be backed up for matches during the Rugby World Cup 2011 has been finished.
This is how it looks.

Work began late last week to update the side piece of track that existed there.

Still to be signalled and power motors on the points. During the Xmas shutdown perhaps?
Hasn’t the siding always been there?
@James, yes this siding has been there for decades. It was just trackbed maintenance. The points are not changing, and in fact I think they just relaid the same old track after renewing the ground underneath.
