Video: Kingsland Underpass Opens

Kingsland train station’s new underpass was used for the very first time tonight.

It is suppose to cater for any overload of rail passengers arriving for the Rugby World Cup matches.

It was tested for the first time at the All Blacks- Springboks game tonight at Eden Park and takes passengers from the northern Britomart-bound platform a short distance to street level at Sandringham Road.
Some of you have been asking me about what it’s like and how far it is - so take a journey as one of the first to do so!
