More Motorway Disruptions

The northbound lanes on SH1 between Oteha Valley Road and Silverdale will be closed on Sunday night to complete line marking after recent re-surfacing work.

To keep disruption to travellers and essential services to a minimum, the work will be done between midnight and 6am.

Northbound motorists have the option of using detour routes via SH17 or East Coast Bays Road which should add only 5 minutes extra to their journey.

The BP Service Centre at Dairy Flat will be closed while the improvements are made, so motorists need to ensure that they have enough fuel to get to the next available service stations in Warkworth or Wellsford.

And there will be significant delays for drivers heading north on SH1 between Pokeno and Bombay when northbound lanes are closed for essential maintenance work on the nights of Monday and Tuesday next.

Detours will be in place which could add up to 40 minutes on to a journey and on unfamiliar rural roads at night.

The closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am. The northbound lanes between the Pokeno off ramp and Razorback Road will be closed.

The closure includes the Pokeno northbound on-ramp, SH1– 2 northbound off-ramp, and SH2 – 1 northbound on-ramp.  Detour routes will be in place via Tuakau in Franklin, and northbound traffic will be diverted from SH1 at Pokeno.
