We’re not the only city putting up with train delays.
One in 5 Melbourne train services are running late.
So much for the revamp of the city’s services.
So the government has announced changes to services - but won’t say when the trains will reach 88% reliability which is the goal.

Crikey we dream of 80% on-time performance in Auckland. I think the Western Line finally hit 50% in March for the first time this year.
But it was Connex’s fault that the trains were late - that was why they lost the contract to the current crowd who, by all acounts, are doing worse than Connex ever did!
What bewilders me is how anyone thought that changing the operators would make an ounce of difference, when they kept the same operating contracts and have made no changes to stations, rolling stock, infrastructure or staffing. How is changing around the board of directors going to fix the useless franchising model they work under?
