(Video) Public Flock To Queens

 

A steady stream of people arrived at Queens Wharf this afternoon and for once, were able to march right in through the red gates.

With ARC Chair Mike Lee declaring the wharf now The People’s Wharf, the public was able to see for themselves the much-debated venue for the RWC 2011 Party Central and cruise ship terminal.

It was a stunning sunny Auckland afternoon which showed off the city’s beautiful harbour and people made the most of the festive atmospher which included a Ports of Auckland”dancing tugboat” display:

People queued for the most popular attraction- the Navy’s patrol vessel HMNZS Rotoiti, which arrived for service exactly a year ago.
