New Newmarket station is looking impressive

Great to see the new $35m Newmarket station - the future major station hub of the network - taking shape.

Not yet clear is who will own it (it seems the local bodies will hand stations over to the government) and who will end up paying for it now the fuel tax is dumped ($15m of the bill is reported due in July).

The double-storey building will have three platforms and is due to open next year.
